Connectivity

LoRa technology is the most frequently applied technology in smart farming applications due to its long-range transmission and low power consumption characteristics. With Semtech SX1262 / SX1276 SoC engines, REYAX LoRa modules  can typically transmit at least 4.5 km, and as far as 15 km in a mild environment and therefore are especially suitable for outdoor applications such as soil, water, and livestock monitoring.

The REYAX RYLR896 transceiver module features the LoRa long range modem that provides ultra-long range spread spectrum communication and high interference immunity whilst minimising current consumption. The module features an integrated antenna and is certified by NCC and FCC.
 

Positioning

Positioning devices such as GPS tracking collars are particularly suitable for livestock monitoring and are increasingly used to help to avoid missing animals. REYAX GNSS modules support GPS, Glonass, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS and SBAS engines and have been applied to cows’ tracking collars for farmers to easily control and manage their herds.

The REYAX RYS8833 is an ultra Low Power 1.8V UART/I2C interface multi-GNSS module built on the high performance of the SONY CXD5605GF/ CXD5605AGF GNSS engine. It features high sensitivity, integrated digital noise filters and a spectrum analyzer.
